Responsible Research & Innovation

Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is a comprehensive approach that aims to align research and innovation processes with societal values, needs, and expectations. It encompasses various dimensions, including ethics, governance, inclusiveness, and sustainability, to ensure that research and innovation activities contribute positively to societal well-being. RRI and its variant Responsible Innovation (RI) have been actively promoted for over a decade by the European Commission and major public funders of research and innovation activities in Europe and the UK. In this course, participants will explore the principles and practices of RRI, gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate responsible practices into relevant activities such as software or technology development, research and innovation endeavours.
